Job description / Role
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, cash receipts, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
– Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
– Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide support in variance analysis.
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
– Process and track invoices, expenses, and payments, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
– Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial filings.
– Maintain and update financial databases and systems, and assist with any necessary data entry.
– Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Salary:
AED 2,000 to 3,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– 1 years of experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
– Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, with experience in ZOHO considered a plus.
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Fluency in English, with knowledge of Arabic considered a plus.
