The Company

Robert Half is partnered with a global business looking to enhance their Finance function.

The Role

* Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and footnotes in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
* Disclosure Reporting: Prepare and review MD&A, disclosures and footnotes to financial statements for annual reports and SEC filings (if applicable).
* Technical Accounting: Understand and apply accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) including the ability to evaluate accounting topics and prepare memos. Specifically, knowledgeable regarding ASC 842 and ASC 606.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC filings (if applicable), and internal policies related to financial reporting.
* Audit Management: Collaborate with external & internal auditors, providing documentation and explanations during financial audits.
* Internal Controls: Maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and safeguard company assets.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement best practices.
* Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management.

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
* Qualified Finance candidates will be considered- CPA, ACCA, ACA
* At least 10 years’ experience with 2-3 years in a managerial role.
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with SEC reporting
* Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Active Disclosures).
* Knowledge of SAP systems is preferred
