Job Title: Logistics and Transport Supervisor
Location: UAE-SharjahThe Logistics and Transport Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all logistics and transportation operations for the company. They will manage a team of drivers, coordinate with suppliers and vendors, and ensure that all goods are delivered on time and in good condition.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee and manage the daily operations of the logistics and transport department.
– Plan and coordinate the delivery of goods and materials to customers and other locations.
– Manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
– Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective transportation strategies.
– Negotiate and maintain contracts with third-party logistics providers and suppliers.
– Monitor and maintain the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good condition and comply with all regulations.
– Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including delivery schedules, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
– Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns related to transportation and delivery.
– Ensure compliance with all local and international transportation regulations.
– Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for the transportation department.
– Monitor and control transportation costs, including fuel, maintenance, and other expenses.
– Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Salary:
AED 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
– Excellent communication and leadership skills.
– Strong knowledge of local and international transportation regulations.
– Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with third-party logistics providers.
– Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant technology.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
