We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in overseeing project controls for an infrastructure construction supervision project based in Abu Dhabi.
As a Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and implementing project controls processes, systems, and strategies to ensure the successful execution of an infrastructure construction supervision project. You will play a critical role in monitoring project performance, identifying potential issues, and driving proactive solutions.
Your new role, what’s involved?
• Project Controls Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive project controls strategies, plans, and systems to optimize project performance and deliverables.
• Budget and Cost Management: Oversee budget development, cost tracking, and forecasting to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and analyze potential delays, providing recommendations to maintain project timelines.
• Risk Analysis: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, collaborating with project teams to develop risk management strategies.
• Change Management: Manage change orders, variations, and scope changes while maintaining alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
• Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, specifications, and other project-related documents.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
• Communication: Foster clear and open communication among project stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating effective problem-solving discussions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project controls teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer, with a strong background in infrastructure construction supervision.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Familiarity with project controls standards, processes, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications in project controls and management are a plus.
• Experience of working in Abu Dhabi.
