Employment: Full Time

This is an individual contributor role, and as the IA Head you will look after doing pre-audit checks, identifying risks, collaborating with senior stakeholders to mitigate and protect the business against risk, while reporting your findings directly to the CEO and the Audit Committee.

Description

* Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit strategy that aligns with the firm’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and evaluate potential risks within the organisation, providing recommendations for mitigation.
* Plan and execute internal audits, including the development of audit programs and assessment of audit scope.
* Conduct detailed and independent audits of various financial and operational processes, assessing compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans for management’s review.
* Ensure that the firm adheres to all relevant financial regulations and industry standards, and provide guidance on compliance matters.
* Collaborate with departments to identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
* Establish and maintain internal audit best practices, ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity in audit processes.
* Foster open and constructive communication with senior management and relevant stakeholders, keeping them informed of audit progress and findings.

Requirements

* UAE National with a Family Book (REQUIRED)
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) is preferred.
* 8+ years of relevant internal audit experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and lead audit projects effectively.
